Registration

Advance Registration ended Friday, December 14, 2012. After this date you must register onsite. If you registered previously and have not received your email confirmation we are still processing registrations we have received over the past few weeks. You should hear from us shortly if you provided a working email address. Confirmations were emailed the first week of December. If you think you should be registered because you attended our show as a buyer in the Tucson Convention Center in 2012 we may not have your current email address on file. Please email info@agta.org to check which email address we have on file. No confirmations are sent via mail or fax.

If you went to Tucson for the 2012 shows and did not make it to our show in the Tucson Convention Center we will not have any record of your attendance as each show in town is run by different companies. Each buyer in your company must attend and have their badge scanned at the AGTA GemFair™ Tucson in the Tucson Convention Center each year to be automatically pre-registered for our show the following year. Buyer badges for companies int he US or Canada will start mailing out the first week in January. Any buyers for companies located outside of the US or Canada must pick up their badges onsite.

Please note the following information you will need to bring with you to register onsite.

AGTA welcomes GJX, JOGS and Holidome (G&LW) badges into the expanded Tools, Technology and Supplies Pavilion. Admittance to the GemHall requires to following qualification:

Qualifications for Admission: AGTA GemFair™ Tucson is open to all qualified professionals who
purchase WHOLESALE for the purpose of RESALE. A business card, copy of W-2 or copy of pay
stub must be provided for each buyer who attends GemFair with your company.


Required Documentation: (After you submit your company information below we will verify your information in our systems and contact you if we require any of the following documentation.)

  • JBT Number.
  • Proof of membership in AGTA, AGS, ASA, DCA, ICA, IDCA, ISA, JA, JVC, MJSA, NAJA.
  • A letter from an AGTA member indicating you are his/her wholesale client.

If you do NOT meet the above qualifications for admission you must provide one of
the following:

  • Copy of your business license or tax-exempt certificate clearly demonstrating industry affiliation.
  • Copies of itemized invoices (totaling $10,000) from three different suppliers of jewelry, precious metal or colored gemstones for purchases made within the past year. Each invoice must show multiple items.

Registration Guidelines: Registration forms received after December 14, 2012, will not be processed and attendees must register onsite with proper documentation.

  • First and last names must be submitted in full. Forms with initials will not be processed.
  • A business card, copy of W-2 or copy of pay stub must be provided for each buyer who attends GemFair with your company. If we do not have your employees already pre-qualified form previous years you may be required to send their proof of employment in.
  • After review of your registration below we will contact you for any credentials we require.
  • Pre-registration confirmations will start being sent out toward the end of November, 2012.
  • Badges will be begin to be mailed to Buyer companies based in the US or Canada the first week of January. If your badge does not arrive before you leave for the show please present your government issued photo ID at the pre registration counter to have your badge printed onsite.
  • Please remember the holiday times and that mailings may be delayed.

GUEST POLICY: Guest(s) must be registered onsite only. No guests will be registered in advance. Any guests you submit on the registration form below that you cannot provide Buyer/Employee credentials on will be removed from your registration. A company may bring a maximum of two guests to AGTA GemFair™. All guest passes are $50 each. Badges will be paid for and picked up onsite. Guests are not permitted to bring guests.

CHILDREN POLICY: Children may attend GemFair under close supervision of their parents. If they are disruptive, they will be asked to leave the show. If they are 13 or older, they will be issued a Guest pass at a cost of $50 and will be considered part of the two guest pass limit for your company.

STUDENT POLICY: We welcome students to GemFair Tucson, but in order to get a badge, you must become a Student Member of AGTA.  AGTA Student Membership is $50 per year and you must provide proof of current enrollment in a gemological or jewelry design program. If you are not currently an AGTA Student Member, you can join by visiting the application page or you can sign up as a member and register for a badge to attend the show onsite.
